Based in the Tampa Bay Area, Kimberly Springsteen-Abbott is the CEO of the award winning equipment lease and finance firm, Commonwealth Capital Corporation (CCC). As a value-driven and innovative leader Kimberly has a strong reputation for leadership, mentorship and possesses over 37 years of experience in the financial industry.
Before accepting a position at CCC, Kimberly Springsteen-Abbott served as Senior Vice President at Wheat First Butcher Singer for 17 years. While there Kimberly was responsible for product and sponsor due diligence and served as a Marketing Manager for the Alternative Investments Division. In 1997 She joined Commonwealth Capital Corp as Executive Vice President, Chief Operations and Business Development Officer and was elected to the Board of Directors while simultaneously founding the securities arm of the company. CCC exists to lease business necessary equipment, but under Kimberly’s leadership the company has transformed into something more. As a woman-owned business CCC prides itself on diversity in the workplace and assisting female entrepreneurs achieve success. The company fosters a sense of community and has yielded a highly competitive, diverse and talented workforce. In 2006 she was appointed CEO of the parent corporation and has lead the company to many successes.
Kimberly Springsteen-Abbott has had numerous responsibilities over the years, however her most notable have been: growing the company’s capabilities, risk management, business strategy, product development, pricing, and the review/placement of over $1 billion in the financing of equipment. The four decades of experience in Kimberly’s portfolio have allowed her to keep her company fresh and adaptable to ever changing markets. She works closely with her clients to ensure the best possible outcomes and experiences. Kimberly is a member of many distinguished organizations that align with her values and support women in business such as Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s Forum Leadership Team, National Association of Women Business Owners, Women Presidents’ Organization, and the Women’s Business Enterprise.
Kimberly Springsteen-Abbott has built a career centered around admirable values and has demonstrated and unmatched ability in leadership and business strategy. As a result she has garnered many awards and recognitions. In the past 5 years she has received 9 awards, including the 2018 Enterprising Woman of the Year Champion Award, multiple Smart CEO Awards, multiple Top 500 Businesses in the US and two WBEC Awards for Leadership. Kimberly shows no signs of stopping or slowing down. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, mentoring female entrepreneurs, and has appeared/presented many times at conferences as an industry expert.
